Staff Medical Physicist
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics from Brigham Young University in 2007 and a Master of Science degree in Radiological Physics from Wayne State University in 2008. He has maintained a continuous certification in therapeutic medical physics from the American Board of Radiology since 2012. He is an Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) for HDR brachytherapy and a Certified Radiation Expert (CRE) in the state of Ohio.
Paul is experienced with stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) procedures, high dose rate (HDR) and low dose rate (LDR) brachytherapy, linear accelerator commissioning, treatment planning system beam modeling and verification, and implementing intrafraction motion management treatment programs. He has designed quality assurance programs in accordance with standards of regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies, and professional organizations.
Paul has excelled at collaborating with all personnel within clinical radiation oncology practices to achieve accurate treatment deliveries, rigorous quality assurance standards, and timely implementation of new technologies. Paul joined the OMPC team in April 2020, bringing over a decade of physics service experience with community and academic centers.
