Staff Medical Physicist

Nathan received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Centre College in 2004 and a Master's degree in Radiological Medical Physics from the University of Kentucky in 2006.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology.

Nathan joined OMPC in 2014 bringing a wealth of experience in Radiation Oncology Physics from nearly a decade of service with the The US Oncology Network and others.  He has overseen the development, implementation, or delivery of most all modern modalities in Radiation Therapy.

Nathan is a major proponent of continuing education and training (strongly supported at OMPC), especially in this field of ever-increasing complexity and sophistication.  Additionally, he remains relentlessly committed to bringing the highest level of Radiation Oncology - in the form of innovative, forward-thinking, and progressive treatment methods and procedures - to the folks living in small towns, too often beyond the reach of major metropolitan medical centers.  This trait is what OMPC is all about!

Nathan is an Authorized Medical Physicist for HDR brachytherapy and is active in the brachytherapy community.  He is engaged in the advancement of safety and quality across the field, such as facilitating compliance with TG-142 quality assurance guidelines and establishing policies and practices to promote a culture of safety within a Radiation Therapy department.  Nathan is another example of professionalism and a cooperative spirit at OMPC.
